Random Thoughts: Change, Primary Sources & Other Stuff

Three decades of technology in our schools and. . . . . . one more study

Is there  renewed attention to the limited use of technology in the classroom?   Just after I shared my concern  eSchool News published news of discussions between superintendents and ed-tech directors about how to ensure that technology is integrated in the classroom.  The discussions were part of a webinar sponsored by the Consortium for School Networking.   Suggestions include hiring technology integrationists  and involving ed tech directors in curriculum planning.     School media specialists must also be included in these discussions and help lead the way in sharing ideas and providing real staff development.   ( eSchool News, February 2011)
