Is Seeing Believing?

One of my first memories of searching the American Memory Collections is discovering a film of the San Francisco earthquake in the Library of Congress Early Motion Pictures Collection. I was amazed the short film existed.
Not too long ago I viewed the film while examining a future Library of Congress Teacher’s Page Build & Deliver Professional Development Activity. This time I looked closely at the bibliographic record! With new knowledge I wasn’t fooled by the short trick.
Learn how to find and use films like these and help your students develop information and technology literacies through the use of digital primary sources. Teaching with Primary Sources begins in June.
